On Friday, September 18, 2015, the University of Minnesota China Center and International Students and Scholar Services greeted more than 50 Chinese Visiting Scholars for our fall semester networking event and lunch. Scholars heard from guest speakers at UMN Office of Student Health Benefits and Boynton Clinic, and had the opportunity to share information about the work they are doing on campus. The University of Minnesota China Center has been supporting and facilitating academic exchanges between the University faculty members and their counterparts from Chinese universities since its establishment in 1979. Currently, the University and its colleges host approximately 100 Chinese visiting scholars and researchers each semester. The international experience inspires faculty members on both sides to conduct more productive academic research and more cross-disciplinary research findings. The Chinese visiting scholars networking events are held every spring and fall semester. If you have any question, please contact us.
