Chinese Government Scholarship

The Chinese Government Scholarship is made available through the China Center's partnership with the People's Republic of China Consulate General in Chicago. The Chinese Government Scholarship is a full academic-year scholarship to a University of Minnesota undergraduate or graduate student for study at a university in mainland China. The scholarship will cover tuition and room and board, and will pay a small monthly stipend to cover books and incidental expenses. International airfare, health insurance, the physical exam requirement, and any study abroad service fees are not included (estimated cost of participation is available here). Applicants can select from a list of University of Minnesota partner schools in China. These institutions of higher education are authorized by the Ministry of Education of China to accept international students to study in China under the Chinese Government Scholarship program.
