For almost four decades, the China Center has supported the University's commitment to international research, teaching, and outreach by building bridges between the University, China, and Minnesota. Through its offices in Minneapolis and Beijing, the China Center provides advice and support to the University community, maintains important relationships, and fosters cultural engagement in the community.
Mission and History of the China Center
Since 1979, the China Center has worked to build the bridge of understanding, friendship, exchange, and cooperation between the U.S. and Greater China (mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan).
China Center has offices and staff at the Twin Cities campus in Minneapolis and at the University's China Office in Beijing.
China Center Advisory Council
The China Center Advisory Council (CCAC) advises the executive director of the China Center, builds bridges between the China Center and faculty and academic units within the University, and strengthens connections between the University and the community.
