Dr. Michael Houston is the Associate Dean of Global Initiatives at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities’ Carlson School of Management, for which he manages the Carlson Global Institute. Dr. Houston is also the Ecolab-Pierson M. Grieve Chair in International Marketing. He serves as Academic Director of the China Executive MBA Program, a Carlson School program offered in Guangzhou, China, in partnership with Lingnan (University) College of Sun-Yat-sen University. His research specializes in global branding and cultural differences in consumer behavior. He has served on the editorial boards of six academic journals in addition to being a past editor of the Journal of Marketing Research. Dr. Houston is a 2012 recipient of the University of Minnesota Award for Global Engagement.
