Fourteen members from Guizhou Medical University recently took part in the Mingda Institute's “Nurturing Bio-Medical Discovery” three-week training program from March 5 to March 24, 2017. The delegation attended lectures given by University of Minnesota faculty on topics such as the American Healthcare System, Commercialization of Medical Technology, Stem Cell Research, Statistics and Analytical Methods for the Application of Big Data in Genetics, and Roles and Responsibilities of the University President.
Delegates alse visited the University’s Visible Heart Laboratory, College of Pharmacy, Medical School, Masonic Children’s Hospital, Fairview Medical Center, Medical Device Center, and Medtronic, one of the largest medical equipment development companies. The delegation also had a chance to communicate with a panel of Chinese physicians who practiced in the U.S. to exchange professional opinions.
