Harbin Institute of Technology Education Philosophy and Pedagogy Seminar

-

This year, the Mingda Institute welcomed 15 professors from the Harbin Institute of Technology for their annual Educational Philosophy and Pedagogy Seminar. Since 2016, HIT has sent over 75 professors to the University of Minnesota for training and teacher development.

The Educational Philosophy and Pedagogy Seminar is designed in collaboration with Dr. Jeff Lindgren, interim co-director of the University of Minnesota Center for Educational Innovation. Dr. Lindgren is co-chair of the Faculty Development for Online Teaching (FDOT) task group, directs the International Teaching Assistant Program, and co-leads a faculty learning community on Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL). Jeff lived in China for six years, taught English at Peking University, and speaks Mandarin Chinese.

The Mingda Institute works closely with faculty and staff at the University of Minnesota to create the highest-quality training programs. Partners like Dr. Lindgren ensure the success of the programming.

The Mingda Institute is proud to support the University’s research mission by fostering meaningful exchanges with China.
