The Mingda Institute for Leadership Training was pleased to welcome 19 administrators from Henan University of Economics and Law this fall. HUEL is located in Henan province, which is in central China and is regarded as the birthplace of Chinese civilization 5,000 years ago. The training delegation arrived in Minnesota on November 13 and enjoyed two busy and fruitful weeks of academic lectures, university visits, and American cultural immersion activities. The third week of the program was spent traveling on the west coast, where the delegation enjoyed visits to Stanford, the University of Southern California, the University of California-Berkeley, and the University of California-Los Angeles. They were even able to partake in traditional American delicacies on Thanksgiving!
This fall marks the second delegation HUEL has sent to the University of Minnesota for professional development training. The China Center’s Mingda Institute for Leadership Training looks forward to hosting more visits from this university in the years to come.
