Harbin Institute of Technology sent a group of 23 teachers to attend the “Education Philosophy and Pedagogy Seminar” provided in collaboration by the University of Minnesota China Center and the Center of Educational Innovation from October 29 to November 12, 2016. This is the third time that the Harbin Institute of Technology has sent a delegation to the U of M for training in pedagogy and curriculum development.
During this seminar, 23 participants attended a series of lectures covering various topics including Course Design, Faculty-Student Communication, Flipped Classroom, and Active Learning Classroom. They also participated in classroom observation and visits to laboratories, such as the St. Anthony Falls Lab and the Biosystems and Bioengineering Laboratory.
