On Tuesday, October 24 the University of Minnesota China Center served as a local host for more than 71 guests gathered at McNamara Alumni Center to attend CHINA Town Hall, a project of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations. Guests gathered for a reception, followed by the program, a webcast presentation by the Honorable Susan Rice, former national security advisor and U.S. ambassador to the UN, which was moderated by Stephen A. Orlins, president of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations.

After the webcast, local speaker Erin Ennis, Senior Vice President at the U.S.-China Business Council presented a lecture "5 Things You Should Know about U.S.-China Trade." The lecture provided relevant conversation about how economic ties between the U.S. and China are maintained, and what the current and projected trends are for doing business between the two nations are.

China Town Hall - Local Connections, National Reflections was an 11th annual event organized by the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations. It is a national day of programming in more than 80 communities, including a live webcast and local programs addressing topics of interest to each community.
