China Center hosts talk with Hong Kong Trade Development Council
On Wednesday, November 14, members of Minnesota’s business community gathered along with University of Minnesota staff and other community members to hear Mr. Ralph Shui-sang Chow, a representative from the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, discuss opportunities for Minnesota’s businesses. Mr. Chow introduced attendees to China’s One Belt, One Road Initiative, and opportunities for businesses interested in fostering a relationship with Hong Kong. A lively question-and-answer session followed Mr. Chow’s talk, during which audience members asked about how developments in the U.S.-China relationship are impacting business collaborations.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Mr. Chow graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a bachelor’s degree in Business and Administration. He also holds a Master of Business and Administration degree from the University of Hull, U.K. and a Master of International and Public Affairs from the University of Hong Kong. He has extensive experience working both in Hong Kong and overseas, including Japan and Australia.
