Annie Chung 钟安妮

Annie Chung, born in Taipei, received a master degree in choral conducting from Eastman School of Music in 1995, and in 1998, she received a doctor of Musical Arts in orchestral conducting from the University of Minnesota. During her stay in the United States, Chung served as Assistant Conductor or Apprenticeship Conductor at many orchestras or choruses.

Chung returned to Taiwan after graduation, and she has been teaching at Department of Music of Tunghai University, and also serving as a conductor at the department’s orchestra and choir. In 2003, Chung played an important role in establishing “Cavalleria Di Musica” and served as its first president.

In addition to teaching and performing, Chung has been an active writer. She has served as a columnist for several magazines including “Music Forums”, “Audio Cité”, and “MUZIK”.

钟安妮,生于台北市,1995年获得伊斯曼音乐学院合唱指挥专业硕士,1998年获得明尼苏达大学管弦乐指挥博士。在美期间,曾担任若干管弦乐团及歌剧院助理指挥。

毕业后,钟安妮回到台湾,任教于东海大学音乐系并担任东海大学音乐系管弦乐团与圣乐团指挥。2003年,钟安妮还主持筹备“中华民国古典骑士音乐协会”并担任第一届理事。

除了演出和教学之外,钟安妮还积极撰写文学作品。她曾担任杂志《音乐论坛》、《音乐城邦》和《MUZIK》古典月刊的专栏作家。
