B.S., Mining, 1922
Chang Chen Ping, born in 1899 in Nanjing, Jiangsu, was enrolled in the University of Minnesota in 1919 and received a bachelor of science in mining in 1922. Chang then went to the University of Wisconsin and received a master degree in geology in 1924.
After returning to China, Chang served as a professor and dean successively at National Central University (now Nanjing University), Tangshan Jiaotong University (now Southwest Jiaotong University), Yunnan University, and Beijing College of Mining and Technology (now China University of Mining and Technology).
During his teaching at Beijing College of Mining and Technology, Chang compiled and published a book --“An Introduction of Mining” which became an important textbook for graduate students majoring in mining engineering.
张正平，1899年生于江苏南京，1919年来到明尼苏达大学攻读采矿工程专业，并于1922年获得理学学士学位，随后他于1924年获得威斯康星大学地质学硕士学位。
毕业回国后，张正平先后任教于中央大学（今南京大学）、唐山交通大学（今西南交通大学）、云南大学、和北京矿业学院（今中国矿业大学），并担任系主任。
任教期间，张正平编写出版了《采煤概论》，成为采矿工程专业研究生教材。
