Chao Yi, born in 1950 in Taiwan, graduated from National Chengchi University with a degree in business management. In 1977, Chao received a master degree in mass communication from Department of Journalism at the University of Minnesota. In 1987, he received a doctorate degree in communication studies from Southern California University.
After graduation, Chao returned to Taiwan, and served successively as the manager of Department of Journalism at Chinese Television System, chief manager of International Global Multimedia Company, director of the Government Information Office, vice president of Eastern Multimedia Group, president of Journalists Association in Taipei, president of Yungching Charity Foundation, etc.
Currently, Chao has been teaching in School of Media and Design at Shanghai Jiaotong University, and serving as the director of Eastern Research Center for Communications and Social Development in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao, promoting the cultural exchanges among these regions.
In 2000, Chao received the first place of Huaxia Award, and in 2007, he was selected as one of the most significant alumni of National Chengchi University.
赵怡,1950年生于台湾,1972毕业于国立政治大学企业管理专业,1977年获得明尼苏达大学新闻系大众传媒专业硕士,1987年获得南加州大学传媒学博士。
毕业后,赵怡回到台湾,他先后担任中华电视公司新闻部经理、国际环球多媒体公司总经理、行政院新闻局局长、东森媒体科技股份有限公司副董事长、台北市新闻记者公会理事长、永庆慈善基金会董事长等职务。
目前他同时任教于上海交通大学媒体与设计学院,并担任东森两岸四地传播与社会发展研究中心主任,致力于推动台海两岸文化交流。
2000年赵怡获得中国国民党华夏一等奖章,2007年获选为台湾政治大学80年史上风云人物。
