Liu Qingsong 刘青松

Liu Qingsong, born in 1972 in Hebei, received a bachelor degree and a master degree in geophysics from China University of Geosciences in 1996. In 1999, Liu received a doctorate of science from Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2004, he received a doctorate degree from Department of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Minnesota.

After graduation, Liu completed his post-doctorate research at Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences, University of California-Santa-Cruz. After that, Liu received the European Union Marie-Curie Fellowship and conducted research in Department of Ocean and Earth Science and National Oceanography Center at University of Southampton in England.

In 2007, Liu was selected into the “Hundred Talents Program” of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and was employed as a researcher and a supervisor of doctoral candidates at Institute of Geology and Geophysics of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Liu has been engaged in research of archaeomagnetism, rock magnetism, and environment magnetism, etc.

刘青松,1972年生于河北,1996年毕业于中国地质大学应用地球物理系并获学士和硕士学位,1999年于中国科学院地球物理研究所获得理学博士学位,2004年获得明尼苏达大学地质与地球物理系博士学位。

毕业后,刘青松于2004-2005年度在美国加州大学Santa-Cruz分校地球与行星科学系作博士后研究,随后作为欧盟Marie-Curie Fellow在英国南安普顿大学海洋地球科学系及英国国家海洋中心作研究。

2007年入选中国科学院百人计划,被聘为中国科学院地质与地球物理研究所研究员、博士生导师,长期从事古地磁学、岩石磁学、和环境磁性等领域的综合研究。
