Wang Feiman, who was born in 1897 in Shandong Province, came to the U.S. on a full provincial scholarship. She first enrolled at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota and received a bachelor of science in chemistry in 1925. Wang then enrolled at the University of Minnesota and studied home economics. She received her second bachelor of science degree from the University in 1928. After receiving a master’s degree from Columbia University Teacher’s College in home economics, Wang returned to China and taught home economics at the Women’s Teacher’s College in Tianjin. Wang is considered one of the earliest Chinese female students at the University of Minnesota, and one of the earliest professors of home economics in Chinese universities.

王非曼, 1897年出生于山东省。她获得省全额奖学金赴美留学。她于1925年在明尼苏达州知名私立学院麦卡利斯特学院获得化学学位,后就读明尼苏达大学,研究家政学。1928年,她从明大毕业,获得第二个学士学位。在获得哥伦比亚大学家政学教师学院硕士学位后,王非曼回到中国,在天津女子教师学院教授家政学。王非曼是毕业于明尼苏达大学的最早期的中国女留学生之一,也是中国大学里第一批讲授家政学的教授。
