Anne D'Angelo

Assistant Dean of Global Initiatives, Carlson School of Management

Anne is the Assistant Dean of Global Initiatives. Her professional background includes work in international education, development, and training in Washington, D.C., Central and Eastern Europe, and Northern Africa. She also lived and worked abroad in Tokyo, Japan, and Tbilisi, Georgia. Anne has a B.A. in English from St. Michael's College in Vermont and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development with a specialization in Comparative and International Development Education from the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota. In 2016, Anne received the University of Minnesota's Distinguished Award for Global Engagement.

Anne's favorite international experience was her work at the U.S. embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia (1997-2000) after the collapse of the Soviet Union, especially covering momentous events such as the distribution of titles of landownership for the first time to rural farmers.
