Professor, Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering
Dr. Roger Ruan is a Professor in the Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering and Department of Food Science and Nutrition in the University of Minnesota Twin Cities College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) and College of Science and Engineering (CSE). Dr. Ruan is also the Director of the University’s Center for Biorefining. He has led more than 150 projects focusing on food and bioprocess engineering, and renewable energy and environment, and authored or co-authored over 300 peer-reviewed journal articles, in addition to two books and many patents on the topics.
