Chang Wang is a partner at Kingsfield Law Office. He is licensed to practice law in New York, the District of Columbia, Minnesota, and federal courts. He specializes in business law, immigration law, and art law.
Wang is an elected member of the prestigious American Law Institute (ALI). In 2018, Chief Justice Lorie Gildea of the Minnesota Supreme Court appointed Wang as a member of the Minnesota State Board of Continuing Legal Education. In 2020, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan appointed Wang to the Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans to represent 43,000 Chinese Minnesotans. Wang holds adjunct and visiting professorships at law schools and business schools in the U.S., China, Austria, Australia, Italy, Switzerland, and Brazil.
Wang has published seven books and numerous essays on law and Asian Americans.
Wang received a B.F.A. in Filmmaking from Beijing Film Academy, an M.A. in Comparative Literature and Comparative Cultural Studies from Peking (Beijing) University, an M.A. in Art History from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School.
