Former Director of International Education, Breck School
Ms. Margaret M. Wong is recently retired from Breck School, where she served as Director of International Education as well as classroom teacher. During a career in Chinese education spanning four decades, Ms. Wong established the Chinese programs at Minneapolis and St. Paul Public Schools, Breck School, and the Concordia Language Chinese Village. In 2016 Concordia College, Moorhead, conferred on her the honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters. Her awards include the Minnesota Chamber Excellence in Teaching Award, Dodge Foundation Award for Teaching of Chinese, U.S. Defense Education Award, Asian Pacific Education Award, and the Twin Cities International Citizen Award. Ms. Wong is a founding member of the National Association of Chinese High School Language Teachers, a board member of the U.S. China People's Friendship Association-MN and a founding member of Chinese Heritage Foundation.
