Join us for the 2025 CHINA Town Hall: Local Connections, National Reflections, organized by the National Committee on United States-China Relations and locally hosted by the University of Minnesota China Center and Global Minnesota.

The program will feature a live webcast discussion on President Trump’s China policy 100 days in with Ryan Hass, director of the John L. Thornton China Center at the Brookings Institution; Matthew Turpin, visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution; and Lingling Wei, chief China correspondent at The Wall Street Journal. The conversation will be moderated by Stephen Orlins, president of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations. 

The live webcast will be followed by an on-site discussion with Mark Sidel, Doyle-Bascom Professor of Law and Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has been working in China since the 1970s and is a longtime specialist on state-society relations, civil society, and philanthropy in China.
