A 17-member delegation from the Beijing University of Technology participated in the Mingda Institute's “Teachers’ Competence in Engineering Education and Innovation Development Training Program" in fall 2017. During the three-week program, delegates attended seminars about Course Design, Teaching Methodology, the U.S. Higher Education System, and Innovation in Teaching Technology led by University of Minnesota faculty. Delegates also visited private colleges and universities, such as Carleton College and several community colleges in Minnesota.
