Harbin Institute of Technology Education Philosophy and Pedagogy Seminar

-

The Mingda Institute successfully hosted Education Philosophy and Pedagogy Seminars for a delegation from the Harbin Institute of Technology from October 27 to November 10, 2018.

This was the fifth year the China Center collaborated with the University of Minnesota's Center for Educational Innovation. CEI Assistant Director Jeff Lindgren worked with other faculty to design an intensive two-week curriculum that focused on building skills and improving teachers’ curriculum design. The lectures covered a wide range of topics, from “What the Best College Teachers Do” to “Teaching with Technology.” The delegates also visited different labs and observed classrooms.

Harbin Institute of Technology was founded in 1920 and was designated as one of six key national universities by the Ministry of Higher Education in China in 1954. HIT is dedicated to developing educational pedagogy and curriculum. The China Center and HIT have a strong and long-standing relationship; this visit once again has deepened the friendship between the two universities.
