Fifteen members from Xiamen City University took part in the “Educator Specialization Development and Teaching Methodology Improvement Program” from February 25 to March 10, 2018. The delegation attended lectures given by University of Minnesota faculty on topics such as Course Design, Activities Design, and Materials Selection in a Second Language Teaching Class. The delegation discussed the difficulties in teaching English as a second language with staff from the Minnesota English Language Program and visited the Minneapolis Community and Technical College where they developed a better understanding of the U.S. community colleges system.
