The China Center collaborated with the Carlson School of Management to host the U.S.-China Relations Forum: Perspectives and Insights on September 4, 2026, at the McNamara Alumni Center, as part of the 2026 Global DBA Summer Residency. The forum brought together a distinguished group of scholars and policy experts with deep expertise in U.S.-China relations, international affairs, economics, and trade.
Featured speakers included Jessica Chen Weiss, David M. Lampton Professor of China Studies at Johns Hopkins SAIS; Ryan Hass, Director of the John L. Thornton China Center at the Brookings Institution; Martin Chorzempa, Dennis Weatherstone Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics; and Jiakun Jack Zhang, Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the Trade War Lab at the University of Kansas. China Center Executive Director Joan Brzezinski welcomed participants and delivered opening remarks, while Carlson School Professor Haitao (Tony) Cui moderated the panel discussion and Q&A.
The event created a valuable opportunity for participants to engage directly with leading experts and reinforced the China Center’s role in fostering informed dialogue and deeper understanding of U.S.-China relations.
