M.S., Aeronautical Engineering, 1948
Shih-Chun Lo, who was born in 1923 in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, received a bachelor of science in aeronautical engineering from National Central University in 1945. Lo taught at the university after graduation. In 1947, Lo enrolled in the University of Minnesota and received a master of science in aeronautical engineering in 1948. In the same year, Lo enrolled in the California Institute of Technology and became the first doctoral student of the famous scientist Qian Xuesen. Lo received a Ph.D. degree in aeronautical mathematics.
After returning to China in 1951, Lo worked in the Academy of Mathematics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 1952, Lo started teaching as a professor at the Harbin Institute of Military Engineering. In 1956, Lo edited the first Chinese textbook in dynamics. In 1970, the Harbin Institute of Military Engineering was merged with Northwestern Polytechnical University, where Lo also transferred and served as the director of the aerodynamics department. In 1978, Lo became the vice-president of Northwestern Polytechnical University till 1983.
In addition, Lo served on the boards of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, and the Chinese Aerodynamics Research Society. Lo also served on the editorial boards of Acta Aeronautica, Astronautica Sinaca and Acta Mechanica Sinica.

罗时钧，1923年生于江西省南昌市，1945年获得重庆中央大学航空工程学士学位，毕业后留学任教。1947年来到明尼苏达大学并于1948年获得航空工程硕士学位。同年9月考入美国加利福尼亚理工学院航空系，成为著名科学家钱学森的第一个位博士研究生。1950年获得航空数学博士学位。
罗时钧回国后先在中国科学院数学研究所工作，1952年任教于哈尔滨军事工程学院，1956年，他编写了中国第一部中文动力学教材。1970年罗时钧随哈尔滨军事工程学院并入西北工业大学，并任空气动力学研究室主任。1978年，罗时钧任西北工业大学副校长至1983年。
此外，罗时钧还曾任中国航空学会、中国力学学会、中国空气动力学研究会理事，和《航空学报》《力学学报》编委。
